National Advocates on Deafness
to Inform, Network and Enrich
Programs
Current and correct emergency information is vital to the safety of everyone. Using the newest technologies possible, Project N.A.D.I.N.E. will work with local media to provide equal access to emergency alerts and educate the Deaf community on how to access emergency information.
Deaf Awareness
“I can do anything but hear.” (I. King Jordan)

Project N.A.D.I.N.E. seeks to increase awareness of Deaf culture in the hearing community, which will reduce misconceptions about Deaf individuals and their abilities. We also want to increase Deaf visibility in the mainstream media so that everyone can see Deaf people as equal members of American society.
Parents who discover their child has a hearing loss are overwhelmed with volumes of conflicting information. Project N.A.D.I.N.E. will provide a comprehensive resource center to give parents unbiased information about all aspects of deafness and its impact on communication, education and cultural identity.
